A Picture's Worth A Thousand Yesses

.

JA from MNPP here. Have you guys seen the cast list for You Again? I mean sure it's made by the guy who made Race to Witch Mountain, but it co-stars those two firecrackers above along with Betty White, Kristen Bell, Cloris Leachman, Victor Garber, and Kristen Chenoweth! Will it be too much of a good thing? Will they all just stand around with nothing to do? I don't care, I could watch these people stand around with nothing to do. They'd do even that delightfully, I wager. More on the movie here. More pictures from it here. And here's the trailer:
.

It's out on September 24th.

Sigourney Weaver Jamie Lee Curtis

  1. I'm scared to see this because so many films waste the totally YES of their cast lists. *crossing fingers*

  2. I saw a not-great script review online a while back, but let's be optimists here: this is from the director of "Reefer Madness: The Musical" and "She's the Man". There's hope.

  3. I've gone my entire life mixing up Sigourney Weaver and Jamie Lee Curtis for no good reason.

I haven't laughed that hard at a line in a long time.

  5. But how boring is Kristen Bell? I'm not a Veronica Mars fan but there's nothing about her that's ever caught my attention. Although I'm trying to imagine who I'd prefer in the part and nothing's coming to me.

  9. I am definitely worried for both this and What's Your Number because they are two comedies that have great casts that could be mined for comedy GOLD, but... well, Hollywood comedies haven't exactly been the greatest lately, have they?

  10. I firmly believe that after Veronica Mars, Kristen Bell just needs a role that can do her justice. Her film choices have been too safe, is the problem.

But I will definitely be seeing this... anything is worth it when it combines Kristen and Kristen.

Weaver is sculptural, it proves that gaining a few pounds does wonder for thin women when they get older

Kristen Bell was amazing in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

  15. Jamie Lee Curtis is almost a decade younger than Weaver (I think). I like how Curtis grows old naturally. I think she looks just fine. Is it me, or do they look the same age in that pictures? Has Weaver had work done? She looks great.

Let me guess, Cloris Leachman tormented Betty White in high school.

Just looking at the picture I knew Weaver and Curtis would be old rivals. If the movie is any good it won't turn Weaver and her daughter into shallow caricatures who must be taught a lesson.

  17. Sounds great except for Kristen Bell. I get really disgruntled when there's a great supporting cast that you don't get to see enough of, and a so-so star that I want to see less of. Too bad Amanda Bynes isn't playing the lead. Or couldn't the story really be about Chenowith?
