I'm curious to hear what you think.

I definitely laughed really hard for like 90% of the running time, but I didn't think it was nearly as brilliant as most do. Though I appreciate it more when I consider that it was a real documentary of sorts, and a lot of those people were for real. Also, Cohen himself was pretty awesome. But I don't think it's awardworthy beyond his perf.adam k.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13485604493059621307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256060.post-1166430751651286772006-12-18T03:32:00.000-05:002006-12-18T03:32:00.000-05:00The Holiday's budget was apparently $85 million. ...The Holiday's budget was apparently $85 million. Probably a quarter of that was Cammy Diaz's salary, but there you go. Ridiculously high budget for a rom-com.

$25 million with little more to go does not hold up well to an $85 million budget. Sucks for Winslet. But Meyers' comedies are always bad, and Cameron Diaz is grossly overpaid, so it serves both of them right. I will wait for video for this one.adam k.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13485604493059621307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256060.post-1166428947453378662006-12-18T03:02:00.000-05:002006-12-18T03:02:00.000-05:00maybe youre right Adam, I dont know what its budge...maybe youre right Adam, I dont know what its budget was. That would have been the perfect audience for it, and a pretty decent sized one, since The Holiday had a good opening at the box officeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256060.post-1166418245648819062006-12-18T00:04:00.000-05:002006-12-18T00:04:00.000-05:00Beau, they have changed the release from Valentine...Beau, they have changed the release from Valentine's Day to March 2, now the official site just says COMING SOON, so who knows when it's coming out now(it was previously slated for July, then September, then July again, and I even read a December date as well). I think this has more to do with Bauer Martinez than MGM. Bauer bought the rights to Harsh Times, then screwed the marketing for that film up big time, but it's not a big surprise, they're run by a former con and a hack.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256060.post-1166415487879922232006-12-17T23:18:00.000-05:002006-12-17T23:18:00.000-05:00...the article doesn't really state that the film ......the article doesn't really state that the film is getting delayed though, does it?
or am I just as blind as a bat?Beauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12330740987516007108noreply@blogger.com
