It couldn't have managed a big wide opening, even on Halloween, before generating any positive word of mouth. It would've needed to start like 2 weeks beforehand and then gone wide on Halloween, I'd think. That's tricky. <br /><br />Plus I don't think anyone had any idea that the film had major box office potential at all.
