While I'm not going to complain about Best Actress (it was a bizarrely strong year) I would also do the shout out to Toni Collette. But, enough of THAT.
The one nomination I'm destroyed that you haven't included is The City of Lost Children for Art Direction. Those are some of my all-time favourite sets and I would think even anyone who didn't like the movie would think that too. That city by the sea at the start of the movie is just brilliant to look at.

Yeah, man, Toni Collette was awesome in Muriel. Though I can't say she was better than Moore, Shue, Sarandon, Streep, or Kidman. Or Thompson. But a very close second to Kidman for best comedic actress of 1995. Best Breakthrough performer, perhaps?

everyone, me loves the collette. but me no love Muriel's Wedding as much as everyone else. apologies... if i had a comedy nomination to give out it'd go to Alicia Silverstone for Clueless.
re: Gina Gershon in Showgirls. Awards are not enough. She leaves me drop jawed every time. When has a performer ever understood the movie she was in as much? OK, Julianne Moore in Safe in the same year but you get my point. Perfection.
