Yeah, I think I voted for Denuve also... and I kind of expected her to end up #1. What exactly has Montenegro done, other than Central Station, to deserve the #1 spot? Deneuve got an oscar nomination too...
I too agree that Liv Ullmann is God, but as for Fernanda, she has done A LOT of great stuff.
Because I live in Uruguay I get to see a lot of Brazilian pics and she's fabulous in every one of them (I especially like it when she plays villains). That said, why isn't Norma Aleandro on that list? She's amazing! Nathaniel, you *have* to see "The Official Story"... incredible perf there.

Well, I voted for Maggie Cheung, purely because she is the one I have seen the most foreign films of. And while I like Ullman, I don't know if I've been privvy to her best. As good as her perf in Scenes From A Marriage was I found that movie sort of really annoying. Persona is a brilliant movie though...
Wait, so reading the actress countdown I got to Annette Bening and became confused. You say she's on there for one movie and one movie only. Are you saying you didn't see Open Range or, you did but that didn't come into effect with the list?
