Have you
selected your actresses yet? There's still time to watch your movies. I'm working on my first (Barbara Stanwyck). If you only get to one or two, still, shoot me an e-mail to let me know how it went for a special feature in October @ The Film Experience.
I'm considering Louise Brooks, Ingrid Bergman, and, since she's about to be everywhere on Broadway, Jill Clayburgh.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing Crawford. Scary thought.

I'm doing (er...) Jane Fonda, Bette Davis and... i dunno who else.
ReplyDeleteI can'tstart until Saturday though because I have school and I also have The People Vs Larry Flynt and La Femme Nikita to watch (sent to me).

I'm doing Annette Bening (it's surprising how little I had seen of her) and Natalie Wood. I'll tell ya.
ReplyDeleteI should watch some Natalie Wood because the two performances of hers that I have seen are so polar opposite in their quality. First I saw her be the weakest part of the otherwise classic West Side Story (RIP Robert Wise) and then I saw her be perfect in Rebel Without a Cause

ReplyDeletesince Natalie is my favorite I would say "do it!"
I'd suggest viewing SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS which is her best performance (hands down) and then either something really early or late, like her great childstar performance in MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET or the sex comedy BOB & CAROL & TED & ALICE
