Curio: Kate Winslet Outerwear

It's "Kate Winslet Day" Pass it on.

Alexa from Pop Elegantiarum here. In honor of Kate Winslet Day and the frigid temperatures out there, here are some handmade coats crafters have made, well, under her influence.

Now that everyone's reminiscing about Titanic (thank you Avatar, for making me long for humans) Your Fairy Godmother has offered up this version of Rose's coat. If you've got $200 handy, you can wear it yourself. I'd look like a pink whale in this; leave it to elegant Kate to pull it off.

I gotta hand it to Eeba, this Quills coat looks pretty intricate. Funny that a play and film about the Marquis de Sade inspired her to create outerwear...or clothes at all, for that matter.

Really, though, I'd just as soon hit my local thrift store and score a mauve puffer à la Clementine.
