Seriously. Look 'em up. They fit perfectly in Nolan's world.

I'd also say The Ventriloquist and Scarface are a pretty legitimate option too, to also throw into the mix with the Terrible 3. They would be a new gang syndicate moving in town picking up the pieces the joker left behind.
The terrible trio would take this weakens of the gangs fragmentation and begin their criminal enterprise.

For Female Villian and Love Interest, I'd have to say Catwoman and Talia Al Ghul obviously come to mind, but it could also be a new female DA, or a cop... i read somewhere Sarah Essen?

Oh Harvey Bullock, Gill, Max Cort are also viable candidates, not as a villain but as an antagonist to Batman from within the police.TheMadHatternoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256060.post-15320917222025468042010-10-28T23:14:18.137-04:002010-10-28T23:14:18.137-04:00Nathaniel, I think Nolan's stature has more to...Nathaniel, I think Nolan's stature has more to do with the fact that he came of age in the internet era than any Bush era doctrine. Why can't someone treat the more "ridiculous" villains seriously? Obviously a lot of comic writers do. Back out of the series after 3, leave the canon open for a new director to pick up in 15-20 years, having a new actor flow naturally from wherever he leaves Bale. There's 70 years of material: Nolan's uncomfortable with half the villains, fine. Leave the future open for someone who's more visionary, willing to experiment with the more fantastic elements of the myth.Volvagianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256060.post-63236069862363162392010-10-28T18:44:45.508-04:002010-10-28T18:44:45.508-04:00I think this series has a nice pattern to it...Beg...I think this series has a nice pattern to it...Begins, Started, Complete. Both mediums should play to their own strengths, you know? The long form serialized narrative is great on TV but in the movies it almost always feels like a desperate cash grab -- especially when they're doing all these "let's split this story that would be taught in a 2 hour film into 4 hours where it can be padded and unurgent but we can make twice as much money.

boo

Daniel -- well in my opinion you've just named the two best superhero films (spider-man 2 and X2) so we agree on that.
