Oscar Results

I did OK in my predictions and was right in a couple of last minute hunches (like abandoning Pans in foreign film) and wrong in a couple of others (like going back to Murphy in supporting) and at least I called The Departed right. The Oscar results (and my prediction ratio) are here. More tomorrow when I have time. Good night.

I can't believe Emmanuel Lubezki lost! Pan's Labyrinth was overrated IMHO.

  2. I was terrible in my predictions. I also can´t believe Emmanuel Lubezki lost.

The Oscar night was okay. We had some surprises. Some winners we already knew who were. But, overall, I didn´t like Ellen de Generes as the host of the show.

  3. I got the entire top 8, but other than that didn't do all that great. About 50/50.

  4. I scored 17/24 correctly foreseeing the Foreign Film and Song upsets! But I thought the winners were pretty good this year (barring few exceptions - ARKIN! CINEMATOGRAPHY!)

  5. I got 18/24, missing Best Picture, Score, Cinematography, Costumes, Animated Short and Live Action Short.

  6. But since I was too chicken to put them on my blog, it doesn't really count.
