  2. "Up" is going to win, isn't it? DAMN you Academy!

PS: Is it OK that my name is not Robert? Can I still post? :p

  3. Up would be a deserving winner.

But, I could really go for a tie.

OH GOD. That scared me. Is it bad that, at first, I thought it was that bag-headed child from The Orphanage?

  5. Fantastic Mr Fox was such a glorious experience. Loved it. Such a shame that Up will benefit from voters being on autopilot and rewarding Pixar's weakest effort.

  6. Up is definitely NOT Pixar's weakest effort. It's better than Ratatouille and The Incredibles, for sure and it's one of my favorite movies of 2009. Don't get me wrong, I loved Fantastic Mr. Fox, but Up is just as good if not better and should probably win Best Animated Feature. Like I said... this would be a good time for a tie.

  7. There are a lot of attitudes going on here... don't let me get one, too.

  8. What is up with all the Up hate? This was my favorite Pixar ever. EVER. I cried both times I saw it. And not in the beginning montage. Such an emotional punch.

FMF was great in its quirky Wes Anderson way, but I think Up has a much broader appeal and is masterful storytelling.

This was legit the best year ever for animated movies. I adored every one I've seen. And I mean ADORED. I could go for a three way tie between Up, FMF, and Coraline personally.

I hope to name my son Kristofferson thanks to "The Fantastic Mr. Fox."

  11. This was my favorite film of 2010. I think Anderson deserves an Oscar nomination for Best Director this year.

  12. One of m favorite movies this year.

UP is going to win (as Jim T says). UP is a good movie. Watching UP again, it holds up. But FOX is truly the superior movie

Then again, I'm a huge fan of Raold Dahl, Wes Anderson, and still life animation.

I'm surprised the Academy is not going ga ga for it, I mean,do they realize that Meryl Streep is in it!!

  13. A tie between Up/Mr. Fox/Coraline/Ponyo would be nice...it'll never happen, so I'll settle for Up.

And the person who said this is the bag-headed child from The Orphanage...you made me die laughing.

  14. What Robert said.

I think I may have to break my don't-buy-any-more-DVD's-you-never-have-time-to-watch-them-anyway-and-BluRay-will-make-them-obsolete rule to get this on DVD.

  17. Best animated movie of the year. And one of the best movies of the year. Thanks Jose.

Upon seeing this the second time what caught me about this movie unlike all the other animated features were the close-ups. Shot very much like a feature film. It's a shame that it hasn't gotten the recognition it deserves.
