Movie Strike
It just occurred to me today that it's March and I have only seen ONE movie that was released this year in the theaters (that would be a Bolivian picture Sexual Dependency which I doubt will be playing at any theaters near you) What will it take to get me to go back to the theater?

Fahrenheit 9/11 and a half, you piece of shit liberal?
Quick, dude, I think Mel Gibson just re-edited The Passion of the Christ for Lent. Now with 15% more wailing voices on the soundtrack!
Watch it or Jesus will hate you!

Can i bring up first Anonymous' reply.
...? I think I need to reply with a big fat HUH?!?!
I love how it ends with a ?
Anyway. I've seen about 25 2005 films so far. But a 2005 film in Australia is something like The Aviator, Closer, M$B, Sideways etc. We get them late and I hate the US for that thank you very much. We still haven't got Being Julia, Maria Full of Grace or many of the lower-ranked Best Actor condender movies. We did just get Door in the Floor though...
However, the only film with a US 2005 release I've seen is "Bride & Prejudice" and Iliked it. Fun, Funny and colourful! It's Bollywood so I wouldn't expect anything less.
And... less Passion is a good thing thanks.

I think the strike is ending. I'm itchy to see something and I'm sure there's stuff playing (usually good foreign stuff finds its way this time of year) but I've been so caught up in Oscar I didn't notice.
It's back to the theater with me...
Glenn, I live in the US, but not in a major market city, so we didn't get M$B, Sideways, or Hotel Rwanda until after Oscar nominations either and we never will get Being Julia or Maria, Full of Grace or Vera Drake. DVD only for those.
I haven't seen any 2005 films yet. Be Cool may be my first. I also plan to see Sahara in a few weeks because back in High School I was a huge Clive Cussler fan.
That was Jesse. I hate having to be anonymous.
My schizophrenic threesome so far has been Pooh's Heffalump Movie (childhood devotions die hard, or don't), Constantine, and the German/Turkish film Head-On/Gegen die Wand, which really opened in 2004 but only made it to the US a month ago. I'm excited this weekend for The Jacket, even though I maybe shouldn't be. John Maybury is a good director: Love Is the Devil, etc.
pfeiffer-pfest 2005?
I have been looking for sites like this for a long time. Thank you!
