The Breakaway
I've been watching the Tour De France every day --the boyfriend's obsession... and now, sorta mine against my will (see sidebar). And now I'm desperate to see The Triplets of Belleville again or maybe Breaking Away. Are they any other worthwhile cycling movies?

There was a documentary out here in Australia recently called "Hell on Wheels" that was actually about the Tour de France. It got good box-office too.
Don't know if you guys have it though. Don't know why you wouldn't.
The only way you'll get Nathaniel to read Proust is too film it, and put all the text as subtitles.
sadly, i'm not even sure if that would work - I did drag him to see Ruiz's Time Regained (luring him in with the divine Deneuve). Let's just say I was forbidden to choose movies for several months...
