Apparently Notorious is being released here, finally, on March 1! God, 11 months after it's American release. How disgraceful is that? I was all set to actually purchase the DVD sight unseen from America purely because I didn't know when, if ever, it was going to be released. Utterly disgraceful.

Although, this was cute... or not so cute, actually.

That scene between Arkin and Breslin where she asks about how beautiful she is, is what will get them Oscar nods I think. So good.

I have that exact pic of Abi Brez on my desktop right now...

Whoa, that's deep. I've seen both, but never made the connection.

Wow.

Comparing a nine year-old girl to a [bondage] sex icon.

I hope you can sleep at night.

LOL

Never put those together. Gretchen and Abby, I mean. Two great performances in two great films.

Good for you.

That's adorable! They look like sister playing a game, I think it's sweet.

i just thought it was funny because in some ways they're both innocents who are inappropriately sexualized (in one case --which is the whole joke of the last part of Little Miss Sunshine) or articially sexualized in the other Bettie "nude but not naked!" -lol- Page)

Glenn, that WAS a great scene. Even though I thought Arkin was the least impressive performance in Little Miss Sunshine (though still very very good), I won't be pissed at his nomination because of the greatness of that scene, and the fact that he apparently wasn't happy with that scene as written and added the best line himself ("and it's not cause of your brains or you're personality, it's because you're BEAUTIFUL")

Yay, LMS!

That seriously made me laugh. Both great performances.

She should do an Ava Gardner biopic as well.

Personally I can't imagine anyone seeing these two movies and not making the same connection Nathaniel did. I know that's what I did.

And I hope that Ava Gardner biopic was directed at Ms. Moll. Because the alternative would be just...not right...
