Ah, Michelle. One of Asia's greatest contemporary actresses. We love ya.
As for CTHD, I actually don't absolutely postively freak scream love it. Well, al least the last two. I'm 13, and this came out when I was 7, so obviously I never saw it. My parents are anti-subtitle. Which begs me to ask the question: Why do I love foreign films? Must be a recessive gene. Back on subject.
It's excellent, but I prefer Hero and HOFD, but I guess that means I like Zhang Yimou more than Ang Lee. It's just, I don't know. CTHD is, like them, and at the same time not. CTHD marked a turning point for wuxia in America, but it was also very stereotypical. It still had, even in Mandarin, the cliched dialouge of a martial arts film. But it's still great.

2006 coulda used another one of THESE, says me.
(I'm assuming this still is from CTHD)
Haven't seen this in years.
Yeah, I can't do that.
Yes, it is.
And just so we remember, it lost to Gladiator.
Where is Michelle Yeoh these days?
Davey, she has a major role in Danny Boyle's Sunshine.
CTHD is one of only films I've ever seen more than once in the cinema. Just phenomenal.

That part just annoys me.
But Z rules. I don't doubt that.
