So readers... I've been wrestling with the site & blog these past couple of years. The Experience keeps growing and threatening to devour me whole (this post Oscar exhaustion will pass...I hope). I love doing it, don't get me wrong. But it sucks up gargantuan amounts of time and time is money. I'm going to have to cut down if I can't figure out a way to make it work. So, a March fundraiser is in order: see how much this is worth to y'all.Don't click away... cool info ahead
If everyone who read the blog faithfully donated $10 for each year they'd done so, I'd be a wealthy man ...but I'm still a starving artist (well not literally) Usually when you donate to a person or group it's for services already rendered. In this case I'll actually give you something in addition to what'cha already got.
- Donate $anything and if you'd like (some people are shy) I'll give you a personal shout out on the blog: a "friends of the experience" mini-profile with a note about your favorite film or website or myspace page or whatever... just let me know
- Donate $40 or more and I'll review one specific film or performance that you request (the film must be available for rental on DVD or currently playing in NYC. No guarantee on how quickly --depends on how many donations arrive)
- Donate $75 or more and you can demand a specific twofer like this.
- Donate $lots (some people got bank, don't judge) and shoot me an e-mail with a request and instructions on
how I can become your personal loveslavehow to win your continued patronage.

UPDATE: This fundraiser has raised $1000 so far (thank you!). $2000 is the immediate goal. If the number can get up to $5000 the extra will go toward funding travel and lodging expenses for film festival coverage.

i forgot to mention that i shaved my head for my Oscar photo but I didn't really intend for my bald noggin to be as shiny as Oscars. so: embarrassing... although the twin effect is OK i guess.

My birthday is in two days (YES!!!!!!!!!!!,) and I've already gotten a lot of money. I don't know if this is a sign from god that I should donate. But how do you? Obviously I can't PayPal, so... can you accept checks? I don't know.
