OMG the sidestep. best part of the movie fer sure.
With the current trending of movie to stage to movie or the other way around it's weird that this totally campy thing hasn't been revived. I mean it could TOTALLY get the Xanadu on Broadway treatment
I never quite got all the "Sidestep" praise, but "Hard Candy Christmas" is pretty fantastic.

Look at the picture of Dolly and then look at the Stardust picture of Pfeiffer a few posts below ... do they know something we don't?
you may think i'm being silly - but i'm not. i really think dolly is extraordinarily talented. saw an interview w lily tomlin one time - in which she said dolly was the most talented person she's ever worked with - with all the dark sides thrown in. so - do you think sans the wigs & all the sh*tz....could / can she really do some serious movie acting???....could you conceivably see her in something like "Doubt," "Glass Menagerie"? with the right director, etc....not kidding here. I think so.
