I actually saw that film in the theaters - fascinating, but not easy to sit through. It leaves more questions than answers, of course.
What surprised me was the realization that it had several themes in common with Dogville, but of course it comes at them from a diametrically opposed style and comes to (what seem to be) opposite conclusions.
1)The use of color images in your banner absolutely shocked me the other day. (Isn't that funny.)
2)I've never had a chance to see/hear Rufus Wainright before (although I'm familiar with his father's work), and I'm already hooked after just one viewing of "Going to a Town".

This is one of my favorite films ever. Whenever I think about it, it gets better in my head and I like it more every time I see it.
Wow.
It's fcking great.
nate,
is this a recent viewing? i watched it about two years ago and it is easily one of the few movies my mind lingers toward randomly. moving as hell.

Yet not a single FB nomination! Boo! Just kidding...mildly.
I have no idea what that's from...but I must know
Yeah seriously, why did that get no FB nominations?
It deserved Vera Drake or Sideways's spot for best picture.
Well, it wasn't in Nat's top five so I guess it didn't.
Also, sometimes some movies just aren't in the top five of anything yet can still be loved.
Anyone? Anyone? What movie is this?
Dear Lord I love this movie.
It's called spring, summer, fall, winter and spring
much thanks
