"Juno" wins top prize at Roma Festival. Ellen Page is the Best Actress. For more information: Oscarwatch. Is there a chance for a Best Picture nominee?
I adore this film. People always tended to lean more towards Clive and Natalie in it (they are the scene-stealers of the the picture) but I felt Law, and especially Roberts were wonderful in their respective roles. For hers, I might add, is what I think gave her that performance, the best of her career thus far.
But yeah, if the Oscar had gone to either Portman or Madsen, I'd have been a happy panda. Not to hate on the Blanchett, but these two women were absolutely phenomenal. I'm hard pressed to find a scene I love more than Madsen's monologue on the porch.
