I know this is totally 100% unrelated, but there is an interesting mixed review of "I Could Never Be Your Woman" which was sadly released directly to DVD on Tuesday. Although its part of The Onion AV Club's "My Year of Flops" series, the reviewer seems to like it even though he finds it to be seriously flawed. He rates it as a secret success, which means he ultimately likes it.
I cannot look at this woman and NOT see Nicole Kidman circa 1995! Every time I see Adams, it's like looking at a sort of pre-botox picture of Dorian Gray! Embrace the thin lips and gum-baring smile, Nicole--lest we forget the cautionary tale of Melanie Griffith.
You probably already know of this, Nathaniel, but Harvey Weinstein now has only the Cate Blanchett parts of I'm Not There up at the film's website. (Sorry I don't do links, and I'm too lazy to go back to the reply you made on how to do them recently.) He's really getting desperate. First, the free DVD in Variety and now this.
Oh, I hope it backfires. I wasn't sure about Blanchett's chances anyway (right now I have her tied in third place with Amy Ryan), but when if and when she loses, I would like to imagine that a lot of it had to do with Weinstein's too aggressive promotion.
I guess this means Sicko isn't the lock that I thought it was if he's so desperate for his new company to finally win an Oscar.
Great caption, Nathaniel! That was one of my favorite scenes this year, when Amy Adams' princess kept blithely sewing up new dresses, and you could see the dress pattern cut-outs on what she'd used: drapes, rugs,...

10 days?! That crept up fast. Eugh, they're slap-bang in the middle of my mock exams though.
She's so cute!
Happy Valentine's Day, Nat!
Amy Adams on the front page. Oh Nate you know JUST what I want on Valentine's day.

Disgraceful. Either she or Angelina should be in Cate's Best Actress slot.
