Good lord, I not so much loved Diane Keaton in this movie as wanted to be her-though, really, who hasn't wanted to be Diane Keaton at some point in her career?
My mom was constantly threatening to obliterate (her word) our cat this afternoon because Aly kept finding ways to annoy her in her hunt for missing tax forms.
It was sort of hysterical, but only because I was hiding under a table in the kitchen.
i don't think she was going for realism people. I thought she was fabu in that movie, personally. My winner amongst the nominees with Theron a close second.
but of course Uma's THE BRIDE (kill bill) wasn't even nominated so that year is kind of pointless
nat the fact it wasn't realism killed it for me i thoughorougly belived in her character until the point when she became diane keaton doing a supposed to be funny crying jag way beyond awful rather like watts going over the top in 21 grams drama keaton went over the top in comedy, the heartbreak line nearly won me back,it was so 50 something fairly land v v hollow just like myers other films!!!!.
the 2003 actress category was awful only 2 worthy nominees where was wood, clarkson, blancheett, thurman, paltrow, johannson, curtis & connelly
I still prefer Bernard doing his taxes in Black Books. In tax news, we E-filed this year. Got the notice today that it was received and accepted. Ahh, relief.

This is exactly like me as 4.15 approaches - except with less money, more tears, less hair, more suicidal thoughts.
god bless the usa.
I should know this but I don't - what movie's this from?
something's gotta give
john t-- what made you want to be her? the fabulous wealthy playwriting career or keanu reeves?

oh no that clip the worst overracted piece of cinema in this millenium.
It was actually more having Frances McDormand as a sister. :)
She's neck and neck with Theron for my win. Srsly.
is it too evil to say that i secretly wish diane dressed like that in real life?
Ok, it was overacted, but I'm hard-pressed to think of any single scene in a movie that had me laughing harder.

I hate that Oscar-nominated scene.
