I hereby decree that all Film Experience posts, regardless of merit, must have double digit comments attached to them. In matters of conversation, Ursula was very very wrong
The men up there don't like a lot of blabberHere at TFE we love blabber, gossip, idle prattle and conversation. So get at it!
They think a girl who gossips is a bore!
Yes on land it's much preferred for ladies not to say a word
And after all dear, what is idle prattle for?

Well, here's one to get you started...
This decree is very called for.
Blabber! Gossip! Idle prattle!
The only thing that'd be better if Tilda Swinton was here and drowing herself in chocolate!
But I've got tonsillitis... I'm not very chatty.
I'll just say what's on my mind, then.
Terrence Malick's new film is already in post-production!!!
joel you are obviously a good person... except that you forgot to hit "publish" twice. Accidentally.
j.d. i shall give you a title and land within the kingdom. And a lifetime supply of chocolate (Tilda not included)
glenn get well soon.
mikadzuki - isn't that wild? No films for how many years and suddenly he thinks he's kindred to Woody Allen or Clint Eastwood
Daniel Day-Lewis in a musical. With Judi Dench, Sophia Loren, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, and Marion Cotillard. And some other minor characters who shall remain nameless.
Speculation as to why Kate Hudson got cast? Has somehow been pretty successful with romantic comedies so maybe she'd be more of a box-office draw in places where people are more likely to see Fool's Gold than Volver? (as if they deserve the potential orgasm in the making that is Nine...) Or maybe this is the breakthrough (of a different sort than Almost Famous) and it's more about talent than just signing a popular name.
or... not.
i don't get Hudson. And she doesn't get a free pass for ALMOST FAMOUS anymore. so decreeth I
Ursula always reminds me that I miss Divine. Which in turn reminds me that John Waters is making a CHRISTMAS MOVIE!!!! which should, by rights, be the best thing ever. (I'm doing my best to ignore his recent output, and the fact that Johnny Knoxville is in this one too).
Aaaaand it's double digits.
I know a girl (I went to secondary school with her) that is the image of Ursula. Image.
Catherine --thank you for taking us to the goal!
Now... about those other lonelier posts below ;)
wonderful lyrics. makes you think how much greater these pixar movies would have been if the menken/ashman partnership was still around to score them
It's she who holds her toungue who gets a man...
I always thought it was she (or he) who is rather loose with the toungue who gets the man. At least that's been my experience.
It's fairly well established that Divine was the inspiration for Ursula's look - but is it just rumor that Divine was slated to provide the voice, as well, before his untimely death? Or was it always going to be Pat Carroll?
You know, I'd settle for just one comment a week.
Lucky ba****d.
But you know I love you, right.
