Kevin Aucoin, the late, great makeup-artist to the stars, had a gift for changing faces. Featured here are a few prime examples; well-known actresses portraying legends of another era. Can you tell who they are and who they're paying tribute to? (If you're already familiar with Aucoin's books, please keep their identities to yourself and let others have a guess. It'll be fun!) Oohh these are fantastic! I think I can recognise a few faces. My guesses:
1) Penelope Cruz as Audrey Hepburn
2) Gina Gershon as Raquel Welch
3) Christina Ricci (maybe? It's the eyes) as Edith Piaf

I absolutely love number 6, even though I can't figure it out! I am incredibly impressed with Aucoin's work, particularly if that actually is Christina Ricci.
I believe the first one is Maria Menounos. 6 might be Robin Tunney as i don't know who. And the last one looks like Isabella Rossellini.

I might be really off the mark, but I think the first one actually might be Calista Flockhart!
7 is Courtney Love i think!
I thought the first one was Jennifer Lopez, but yeah it definitely looks like Penelope Cruz.
I think 1 is definitely Calista Flockhart plus two hairy eyebrows. Funnily, I find number 4 (Susan Sarandon) looks like an older version of number 3, Cristina Ricci but maybe it's just because they are pictured together. As for the rest, I agree with kat, including that I have no idea about the last 3.

The pathetic thing is that I looked at the book (ok, it was a few years ago) and still can't remember on my own who is "playing" Clara Bow and Edith Piaf.
I think it's kind of cool that Gershon is so...gershonness that she resists being hidden under makeup. She (and Rossellini) are someone still "themselves".

it's really pretty incredible, but #6 is Demi Moore as Clara Bow. How he got her very square face to look like a tiny little pouting triangle is amazing.
I wasn't able to find out who #5 or #7 was, but I will say no more.
I had to look it up! Alla Nazinova is #8. Whether that's Isabella Rossellini or not I dunno!
I think Bailey's got them right - oooh, congrats on Alla Nazimova. I'd completely forgotten her. Jean Harlow, though, I'm still not sure who's playing her.
I saw a photoshoot with Rosselini made up as 4 or 5 different actresses from the past. She makes a great Audrey Hepburn as well. She's really amazingly versatile in how she can look.
