"Okay Streep, you've had your fun, now hand it back...nice and slow."
FYC: MERYL STREEP
And on the eighth day, God created Meryl...and it was good. It was very good.
Best pic of the night!!! My 2 darlings!
Kate: Look at the greatest actress of her generation! She looks like she really believes she's won!
Meryl: Poor girl. I'm not acting. It's mine foreveeeer!
"The Devil Can Eternally Wear My Sunshine"
"You may have won this battle, Winslet. But you will not win the war!"
I'm likin FDot's comment above.
Hey, this pic would go along nicely with Meryl's 80's and Kate's 00's TIME magazine covers.
MERYL: "Mine!" (cackles)
KATE: "WTF!?" (giggles)
Or, alternately:
KATE: "This will be me in 26 years!"
MERYL: "This was me 26 years ago!"
Meryl looks kinda evil. I say she's about to cackle:
"I'll get you, my pretty! And your little Oscar too!"
"Don't worry Kate, I'll give it back--if you promise to give all the future Oscar Bait roles offered to you to me. I'll take that Clint Eastwood-directed Holocaust biopic where you age from 14 to 107, are deaf, blind, mute and paralyzed, have an Icelandic accent, and co-star with Michael Sheen. Oh, and you can have the Nancy Meyers comedy."
Kate: Ha-ha. Funny picture. Now give it back.
Meryl: Just suck it up and smile
Meryl: «Of course Katey, I'll show you how to hold it properly and how to polish it. After all, I've already got two...»
Winslet: «Thank you. That was my main concern.»
Meryl Streep collects on her debts.
KATE: "This will be me in 26 years!"
MERYL: "This was me 26 years ago!"
So true! Let's face it these two are the goddesses of acting and I knida feel that both know it pretty well!
Makes me wish that Nicole Kidman could get her act together and do something with her career!
"And for my next trick, I will make a British actress disappear!"
singing
Oscar: I feel so untouched...
Kate: and I need you so much...
Meryl: and I can't forget you, I've gone crazy from the moment I met you...
Together: Ah la la la...la la la la
The Envelope Had My Name.
Winslet: Why that greedy look in your eyes, Meryl? I only asked if you could read the tiny letters on the back of my Oscar.
Streep: There are few who can. The language is that of Mordor, which I will not utter here.
Meryl (in her best Miranda Priestly voice) to Kate:
You have no style or sense of fashion to carry an Oscar. And that wasn't a question. That's all.
Meryl: Yeah, it´s the same weight as ONE the other TWO that I have at home!
alternative: KATE:The Devil Wears Prada and tonight got NADA!
(entirely in think bubbles)
Kate: I can't believe I'm here with Meryl Streep! I mean, it's Meryl Streep!!!!
Meryl: Hmmmm, I wonder if I can her so star struck that she won't notice that I've taken her oscar and given her a shampoo bottle instead....
Edit:
* can make her so star struck....
'Kate, I have SUCH doubts about this win'
"Just don't go to the restroom with it, OK?"
One of the BEST PHOTOS EVER!
"Makes me wish that Nicole Kidman could get her act together and do something with her career!"
Margot at the Wedding was last year and it was a brilliant performance.
Birth was in 2004 and she was also amazing.
The fact that she's going for less mainstream performances should not undermine how great she's been after 2002.
¡¡There is no such thing as the greatest living actress!! (I have some secret information)
Meryl: (dont worry, little guy. you will know where I am when I whistle you)
Birth was in 2004 and she was also amazing.
I agree. Birth was PERFECT! I still think that Nicole should get a new manager!
Meryl Streep adds yet another Oscar to her collection.
(Seriously, I'm just thrilled to see this pic of two of my very favorites!)
"A photo from the latest Hollywood production "Mine!" starring Academy Award winners Meryl Streep & Kate Winslet. They were many things simultaneously: friends, rivals, confidantes...they were ACTRESSES. A daughter filled with radiant talent and a starvation for her mother's acceptance; a mother, fading with jealousy and hungry for accolades and a time that once was..."
OK i know it's more than a caption but I like to go overboard
