"Doesn't my body drive you wild with desire?"

Never really enjoyed Liza, such sacrilege I know, I wish her Oscar would've went to Cicely or Liv that year. Maybe I need to rewatch Cabaret, it has been six years...

Hi Nathaniel!

Check this out:

An Almodovar short film, 'La concejala antropófaga'
Concejala is basic a woman that works for the mayor, and ¿eats people? sounds classic almodovar!

It will be this friday!!

Nat, have you seen Jennifer Hudson's performance last night in the Grammys? That was lovely and I'm not a Hudson fan (I may be now). Beautifully understated (for someone with a voice a big as hers), proving that vocal gymnastics do not convey real emotion.

Apparently Liza's body does drive me wild!

I once had a dream I was having sex with Liza! Unfortunately, it wasn't young Caberet Liza. I had the dream 7 years ago, at her, then, current age. I woke up slightly traumatized.

Who'd have thought?!

I love Michael York. I think that he is one of those actors who lost his chance at greatness. He occasionally gets great roles, but most often has to resort to stunt casting to make money.

All of which means: I'm glad I'm not an actor. It's a rough profession.

Also I can never go through O'Hare's light-show-people-mover without saying to myself: "Carousel. Carousel." It's so embedded in my brain that I feel I should give Michael York credit somehow.

I love this movie! I just saw it this year and it started a very mini Liza obsession with me.

How come Liza looks like she did in Tell Me that You Love Me, Junie Moon?

Sean Knight - I completely disagree, that title belongs to Moulin Rouge!

Wayne B. to quote Stanley HAVE YOU LOST YOUR DAMN MIND BECAUSE I WILL HELP YOU FIND IT?!

Greatest. Musical. Ever.
Any problem with that?

Marshall - Just my opionion, I think Moulin Rouge! is more meaningful than people take it to be and I connected with it on an emotional level that I just didn't with "Cabaret". When I saw it I could see why people liked it (Joel Grey!! loves) but I just didn't connect with it, finished feeling cold. Maybe I gotta see it again, it was six years ago when I was a vapid teenager.

Peter,

They were both filmed in the early 70s. But really , Liza has looked like that, oh, since the womb! I suspect that she was born with the bowl cut!
