Weekend

Star Trek aside (but more on that shortly), assuming you didn't see it yesterday, what are your cinematic plans for the weekend?

I saw Star Trek last night.Other than that, the local arthouse theatre has Lymelife , 12 and Is Anybody There?. As I've already seen Lymelife at Sundance I guess I'll try Is Anybody There?. The reviews for 12 weren't that great and even if I really like some of old Nikita Mikhalkov films , I haven't actually heard anybody saying they saw it.

Star Trek on Sat afternoon

Got What Doesn't Kill You from Netflix for Sunday night.

The Limits of Control opened here this week, at the inconvenient & crappy theater, but I would surely go to the edges of hell and back for Jarmusch.

I, too, saw Star Trek last night.

Literally just back from Chéri, no interest whatsoever in Star Trek.

Just got back from Star Trek showing. AWESOME!!!!

I'm going out this weekend, but I am going to see some classic when I get home

Will see Star Trek on Sunday.

Other than that I've been meaning to check out State of Play. Then again I DO have Godfather and Godfather II at home via Netflix waiting to be viewed.

As I live in what appears to be nowhere, this weekend I'm seeing Last chance Harvey...

Saw Star Trek last night and I just came from seeing it again this morning. I may see it one more time this weekend but other than that, I'm gonna re-watch the DVDs I have from Netflix before I - finally - send them back.

@Noecito: I personally think you're in for a treat, but that's just me.

If this were an ideal world, which it isn't, I'd have time to go see Tyson this weekend and probably leave all hopping mad about it. Whether or not I will pull it off remains to be seen.

I'm going to try and find somewhere where Rudo y Cursi is playing. As this is sure to be a failure, I'll probably watch a couple of Fritz Lang classics, M and Metropolis.

I saw Adventureland at the $1 show. And I'm gonna see Star Trek.

katey -- because you were seeing the late late show and I turn into a pumpkin at exactly midnight.

I didn't want to be a pumpkin during the spock/spock moment.

either Star Trek or Wolverine depending on which I feel like when I get to the movie theatre and buy the tickets. Then I'll try to find an excuse to go back and see the other one within a few days! :p

I have to study so, no cinema this week, but...

I rented "Terms of Endearment", so i'll watch that this weekend. After renting "The Bridges of Madison County" on the recommendation of my dad last week, I was surprised at how it was hard to view the last few minutes or so....

because of the many tears screwing up my vision.

I rarely cry at movies so last week's crying fest came as a surprise. I rented "Terms" to see if it happens again. :P

Besides "Star Trek", I plan to see "Pride and Glory", with my dear Edward Norton.

Derreck? Terms of endearment? IT WILL.

Nat - 5:20pm

You'd be surprised how cold i am when it comes to getting emotional with films.

Brokeback Mountain? nothing. (but if any guy kisses me like Ennis did to Jack outside his house, i'm theirs.)

American History X? felt sad, but no tears.

well, you know what? this would be shorter by saying films that did get to me.

The Color Purple (Shug and the Church)
Million Dollar Baby (because i did not expect it and the whole thing about the "nickname".)
The Bridges of Madison County
Schindler's List.

there's a few more, but i can't seem to remember them.

so, i'll see if "Terms" makes the list. :)

I'm going to have a little movie marathon this weekend, just don't know which actress to focus on....

Meryl....yes it'll be Meryl Streep. I'm ignorant on most of her 80's dramatic work. I'm worried that "Sophie's Choice" won't live up to the hype though.
By Monday I will watch five 80s Meryl Streep movies. *pinky swear*
