The performances are enjoyable but to tell you the truth the central mystery bored me (since you couldn't play along at all). What I found most mysterious was this: what is Rachel McAdams doing with her career? And why could you barely see her through the immense costumes?

I have no idea, considering how Nick Hornby and Lone Sherfig kept stacking the deck against her character, even when it didn't make sense ('It doesn't have to be teaching. There's always the Civil Service.' Really? That's the best comeback you had? Oh, heaven FORBID you actually have the last word over adorable and precocious Jenny!).
I voted Baader Meinhof because a) it's very flawed and it would be interesting to get your take on it and b) you've kinda already talked about An Education quite a bit and c) so has everyone else. I don't need to keep reading about these movies that we've been talking about for nearly a year (actually, it has been a year in the case of An Education).
And that's from someone who would place An Education in his top ten of 2009.
BTW isn't the third Chipmunks movie in 3D?
Alvin and the Chipmunks is an abomination and unfortunately, we will most likely see another sequel because it made so much money... Just mesmerizing that people flock to garbage like this.
An Education: great performances by the cast but the movie itself was slightly overrated IMO. I didn't think Emma Thompson was more than solid though.
Rachel McAdams was completely wasted and given nothing to do in Sherlock Holmes but her career is going just fine unless you expect her to become the next Cameron Diaz or Reese Witherspoon Hollywood star. She was in State of Play, The Time Traveler's Wife, and SH last year. She stars in Morning Glory, with Harrison Ford later this year and she has been confirmed in the Woody Allen comedy shooting this summer as well as Terrence Malick Tree of Life continuation (?). All three of those should give her plenty of mainstream appeal and professional challenge.
I voted for Sherlock Holmes but I'd be happy to hear about An Education as well.
That Squeakquel made a ton of $$$, so expect a trilogy there. :(
I voted for The Baader Meinhoff Complex just for something different that I'd never heard of before.
What a bore Baader Meinhof is. Adide from a few pretty people, it is a waste of time - very little character insight and the way the film is presented, you may as well watch a documentary on the subject.

I was completely annoyed by Rachel McAdams being miscast in Sherlock Holmes. Performance aside, she did not seem realistically paired with RDJ. Their age differences were very apparent, and it was particularly distracting considering how she is supposed to have repeatedly outsmarted him.
