Clue. We watched it ALL the time when we were younger and usually whenever we get to see each other now, inevitably it gets watched. when things happen that remind us of the movie we'll start quoting it to each other
I'll try again-for the younger two, Wizard of Oz. They were addicted to that movie at one point growing up, though I don't know if it's still their favorite...
For the oldest, she has AWFUL taste in movies. Not even bothering.
You can count on me. I always loved the brother sister relationship in that movie. While I hope Im better at life than Mark Ruffalo's character, my sister has always been someone I turn to.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy because she was OBSESSED with the whole trilogy when they first came out. So much so, she splurged on the extended editions.
Besides the obligatory Twilight (for a 28 year old sister, natch), I think of Armageddon because I remember being little and sneaking up on her and her boyfriend in the living room while they were watching it and they shooed me away because the movie was too 'adult' for me. Um.
Every single time it came on and "No Cats In America" played we would scream and dance and throw pillows everywhere. I figure those were probably the best moments of my life.
She moved away recently. So I got this really nice image of us put into glass with "Somewhere Out There" written under it.
Slumdog Millionaire, Titanic, and Moulin Rouge. She's twelve, and still cries every time she watches each movie, even though she's seen them all more times than is possible to count with fingers and toes.
A few come to mind, mostly because of how strange I found her affinity for them - her favorite movie to watch at 2 was Jurassic Park, by 15 it was I Heart Huckabees - but by far the one I've seen with her the most times is Bring It On. Thanks to her that movie is basically part of my DNA now.
@pomme We used to watch "La boum 1" and "La boum 2" in my French classes in high school every year. I had completely forgotten about them. Now, I need to go rewatch those along with "French in Action." Ah, memories.
This is a great question Nathaniel. Kevin's Mean girls was actually my first thought, but then I recalled It's Complicated. It's a little like my life, two older sisters (who I'm very close to) and divorced parents - luckily that's where the similarities stop because if my parents got (back) together I would be emotionally scarred.
close in age, my sister and i were kids when we fell in love with this like-able Disney classic with John Candy. Now in our 20s, we still sing the bobsleigh song to each other.... "nuff people say, you know we can't believe, Jamaica they have a bobsleigh team."
i love reading these! I always think of GREASE because my sister saw it with her friends and told me i was too young for it and I was TOTALLY upset. I wasn't allowed to see the movie so had to wait and catch it on television in the 80s!
Cal -- i hope you get to meet her soon!
Agustin -- totally.
moror -- there is no such thing as bringing up Kidman and Swinton too often and you can tell her i said so ;)
Mean Girls wins. Her friends quote it endlessy, to my delight.
Thoroughly Modern Millie is a close second. We were on a family vacation the first time we saw it. I can remember screaming "SOY SAUCE!" "RASPBERRIES!" and "POOK!" for the rest of the trip...the parents loved that.
Lucky - The Witch Mountain movies come to mind. The second one had Bette Davis, which is why I saw it, because my sister raised me on Bette Davis....was that clear before?
I have two younger brothers, and no sisters. Therefore, my knowledge of sisters is limited, but I would imagine Laura Linney would be a good sis.
In second place would be ANY of the gals from Mean Girls. Sure, they might be a bit bitchy, but my brothers don't provide very much snark in my life, and I have a feeling that Regina George would bring some of that to the table. I pretty much just want to be able to work "fetch" into my conversations a bit more often, you know?
My sister and I share a love for select Woody Allen pictures (I love most, we share a few). Knowing that she considers Annie Hall, Hannah and Her Sisters and Crimes & Misdemeanors to be almost as perfect movies as I do warms my heart. She told me once that it was Mia that made her fall for Woody's films (whatashock) because she caught The Purple Rose of Cairo on TV once.
We also both love Match Point, September and Broadway Danny Rose.
And Gosford Park. She used to hate it, and I got her to watch it a second time with me and she ADORES it now.
casino, she adores sharon stone in that film and can quote dialogue from it!!! or big business with bette midler as it reminds me of us watching on repeat as kids.
Rachel Getting Married because one of my sisters reminds me of Rosemarie DeWitt. If only our relationship was as warm and judgment-free as Rachel and Kym's.
"So let me tell you something sister" from THE COLOR PURPLE make me think of all my gay sister brothers who I came out with in college.
2 films remind me of my sister, SINGING IN THE RAIN and SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS. We watched those films together so many times, i can't even begin to count....and how gay is that? Both of us are, you know, should we blame it on Debbie Reynolds or Julie Newmar? Gene Kelly or Russ Tamblin?
These comments are taking me back to so many movies I love (Clueless, Hannah and Her Sisters, You Can Count on Me, Mean Girls). I thought of Coffee and Cigarettes, the scene with Cate Blanchett playing cousins (I thought they were sisters until Google corrected me). Anyway, she was so familiar yet awkward with, um, herself, that's what I loved about it.
"The Other Sister" (because ever since, she & I have had this weird fascination with Juliette Lewis) and "My Neighbor Totoro" (one of earliest films I can remember that she & I fell in love with).
Definitely Belle Maman with Catherine Deneuve. My sister is a gold-medalist Deneuve fan, and she and her "sect-mates" always end up watching this film whenever they have a long weekend together :).

I have 3 sisters, all of whom are younger than me. Shudder.
Mean Girls :) I have watched it with my sister upwards of 10 times. Never gets old
While you were sleeping. My sister is a huge Sandra fan. And that's probably her favorite movie.
Clue. We watched it ALL the time when we were younger and usually whenever we get to see each other now, inevitably it gets watched. when things happen that remind us of the movie we'll start quoting it to each other
Pillow Talk! We had this movie on VHS as kids and watched it so many times that now we often recite the dialogue to each other over the phone.
I'll try again-for the younger two, Wizard of Oz. They were addicted to that movie at one point growing up, though I don't know if it's still their favorite...
For the oldest, she has AWFUL taste in movies. Not even bothering.
I don't have a sister; I wish Zooey Deschanel from ALMOST FAMOUS was mine, though.
The Hours, the relation between Virginia and Nessa is weird but i admire the way they love each other
You can count on me. I always loved the brother sister relationship in that movie. While I hope Im better at life than Mark Ruffalo's character, my sister has always been someone I turn to.
GONE WITH THE WIND. It's her favorite. So much so that she was going to name my niece Scarlett. We're black mind you...

I don't have a sister, but the word sisters takes me back to Rachel Getting Married.
Best sister chemistry ever.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy because she was OBSESSED with the whole trilogy when they first came out. So much so, she splurged on the extended editions.

Beaches, My sister and I have watched it together a MILLION times!!
An American Tail.
Every single time it came on and "No Cats In America" played we would scream and dance and throw pillows everywhere. I figure those were probably the best moments of my life.
She moved away recently. So I got this really nice image of us put into glass with "Somewhere Out There" written under it.
Tear.
"la boum 2" a french movie with Sophie Marceau:first movie i remember to have seen in a theater with my sister
Wes Anderson films. She always says "That's a funny movie let's watch it."
Aside from that I've gotten her to watch a bunch of old, indy, and foreign films.
She loved To Have and Have Not, with Bogie and Bacall, In The Mood For Love, and movies with Katharine Hepburrn.
She doesn't like Nicole Kidman or Tilda Swinton because I'm obsessed with them, and she thinks I bring them up too constantly.
Slumdog Millionaire, Titanic, and Moulin Rouge. She's twelve, and still cries every time she watches each movie, even though she's seen them all more times than is possible to count with fingers and toes.
Laura Linney is the best sister I can remember. How can anyone beat You Can Count on Me and The Savages?
(I do have a sister but I don't know her yet. Mom just adopted a girl. She is living in Germany now with her new husband - the fourth one)
Probably Zoolander, we saw it in the theater together and we still quote it to this day.
Howard's End! no, wait, Sense & Sensibility! no wait, Cries & Whispers! Love period movies about sisters.
"Legally Blonde" because it was (and probably still is) my sister's favorite movie, which I watched with her many many times. Always so funny!
Definitely You Can Count on Me. One of my sisters has always been there for me, through the good and the bad.
Phantom of the Opera... She loves that movie so much.
@pomme We used to watch "La boum 1" and "La boum 2" in my French classes in high school every year. I had completely forgotten about them. Now, I need to go rewatch those along with "French in Action." Ah, memories.
Many things, but mostly 9 to 5. or Romy and Michele's High School Reunion. or Heartbreakers. or Camp.
we enjoy silly films together.
I have 4 sisters. Roberta and I discuss movies A LOT. I guess RHPS because she & I both performed.
The oldest one can best be summed up with The Little Mermaid, and for the older one it would have to be the Kirsten Dunst/Ben Foster movie Get Over It
"Dirty Dancing", because this is her favorite movie of all time! And I love the picture because of her!
Megan Fox's character in "Hope and Faith," but that's more of a TV show obvs. I think of my sister, I think people people like her.
Cool Runnings..."sanka, ya dead?"
close in age, my sister and i were kids when we fell in love with this like-able Disney classic with John Candy. Now in our 20s, we still sing the bobsleigh song to each other.... "nuff people say, you know we can't believe, Jamaica they have a bobsleigh team."

I have three older sisters.
Rachel Getting Married - the two sisters reminded me so much of the relationship between the younger two.
Marilyn Monroe and Bette Davis remind me of the oldest, for it was she who introduced me to them. Good sis!
This is easy. Cruel Intentions!
Ok, I don't have a sister.
Just to clarify - I said Get Over It because it's her favorite, not because I maliciously tell her to get over things !
"Girl Just Want to Have Fun" with SJP. She and I used to watch it when she babysat me...back before I knew I was gay. Seriously.
The Exorcist & Rosemary's Baby. We like scary movies that crack us up. My sister and I are a sick pair.
God I love Carol Channing :)
Clueless.
I remember in the '90s my older sister would always watch this movie her friends all around. They would quote it quite a lot.
wow I have no idea! Is there a movie that shows the relationship between twins (brother and sister)?
I have a twin sis, but nothing comes to mind right away.
Lucky - The Witch Mountain movies come to mind. The second one had Bette Davis, which is why I saw it, because my sister raised me on Bette Davis....was that clear before?

Notting Hill, it´s her fave movie:)
Rachel Getting Married because one of my sisters reminds me of Rosemarie DeWitt. If only our relationship was as warm and judgment-free as Rachel and Kym's.
goonies, grease 2 & miss congeniality for one sister...child of the 80's & her unending love for sandra bullock
my other sister has terrible taste in movies, so i'll go with vanilla sky. she loved it for no discernable reason
What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
Margot at the Wedding...maybe Four Brothers, just because she's really into it right now.
The bridges of maddison county, my sister cries a lot with this movie. One of her all time favorites.
Bridget Jones Diary comes in mind...
