JA from MNPP here. I do these posts over at my blog all the time but for today in honor of Terence Stamp's 71st birthday I decided to import the fun over here to The Film Experience. Although Stamp has plenty of roles I've found delicious through the years - Toby Dammit in Fellini's spellbinding third of Spirits of the Dead, the entire-family-screwing Visitor in Pasolini's Teorema, Soderbergh's The Limey - the following two are arguably his most iconic. They're my faves, at least. So naturally we must choose between them! Which is hotter...

I think that may be a little too passionate. Depp in Ed Wood, Freeman and Robbins in The Shawshank Redemption, Jeff Anderson and Brian O'Halloran in Clerks, Jean Reno in The Professional, Jean-Louis Trintignant in Three Colours: Red, Nigel Hawthorne (haven't seen but it could change my list's makeup, which is currently:
Jeff Anderson, Clerks
Morgan Freeman, The Shawshank Redemption
Johnny Depp, Ed Wood
Brian O'Halloran, Clerks
Samuel L. Jackson, Pulp Fiction) playing a mad king in The Madness of King George and the, I think, perenially miscategorized Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction are hard selections to beat off. I'd find it hard for a serious Lead Actor list to not be some combination of those 8. (I break Pulp Fiction down as Travolta being a support and Willis and Samuel L. Jackson are co-Lead Actors.) And tomorrow, the Freeman Robbins buddy combo may be on there, and on another round of reflection, it may be Jean Reno or Trintignant. I literally can't weasel out who I'd give the fifth slot to. (Depp, Anderson, Freeman and Jackson are, in my opinion, unremovable.)

everyone -- zod has taken the lead. I think it's the cleavage.

My favorite part of Superman II...when Clark and Lois watch the Presidential Press Conference that Zod has taken over from the diner...
Zod says something like "Come Superman, and kneel before Zod" he pauses for a second and then says "ZOD!!!!" and says it in a way that just has busting out in laughter anytime I see it :-)
Tough call, but I'm gonna have to go with Bernadette. Even Zod would kneel before her!

Hee! Well, we had to watch that educational doc twice in high school and I definitely remember that Terence Stamp was the only part in it that didn't put you to sleep.
I can't believe it's not on the internet though *does frantic google search* I'm starting to feel like maybe I dreamt it all up.
