Love something for which Pfeiffer was nominated?
Love Field
love field for sure
Love Field. Knew it straight away. I woke up early one morning just to watch it. Pfeiffer was great (not Mary McDonnell 1992 great, but close).
I shouldn't say this but I'm not the greatest Pfeiffer fan ever (sorry Nat) BUT I have to say that for me this is her best performance ever. She looks just like Marilyn in Something's got to give, so vulnerable yet strong and sooo funny. The oscar was hers.
And don't get me started on Emma Thompson! I love her almost in everything BUT Howard's End.
1992 Best Actress: 1. Emma Thompson 2. Mary McDonnell.
Emma Thompson DESERVED that Oscar for Howards End. There was no competition; the award was hers. One of the greatest Best Actress winners EVER, imo...
I have this opinion: Yes, it should have been hers to lose. But she backed the wrong horse.
Hers meaning Pfeiffer.
