Onesies beats twosies but nothing beats three.
Pure joy (tripled). I'm especially pleased that between them they have three Oscars!

For the record... If we'd been doing this in the 1980s, Melanie Griffith would have occupied the same treasured room in the Film Experience mansion currently occupied by Hilary Swank in the Aughts (she won't move out!). I completely understand what Antonio Banderas has always seen in her, don't you?! The cinema was a better place when he dumped that hack Pedro Almodóvar for Melanie's possessive embraces and the opportunity to make Hollywood classics like Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, Never Talk to Strangers, Original Sin, My Mom's New Boyfriend, Play it to the Bone, Two Much (was ever a film more aptly titled?) and The 13th Warrior.

Hee.
Don't forget Crazy in Alabama, featuring my all-time favorite character of fiction: Aunt Lucille. Notice I didn't include Aunt Lucille in my list of favorite movie characters.
I hate it that people hate Renee but still I cant come up with enough reasons for them to change their minds!
I too also feel a little bad about Renee getting in here-I used to love her, and wish I could again.
a little bit OT: The director of that Hannah Montana movie has said Miley Cyrus is the next Judy Garland, and that Barbra Streisand wasn't doing what Miley was doing at 15... This has to be an april fools, right ?
nice blog, what about link exchange with my one?
let me know via comments...
cheers
poor Hilary! :(
she deserves better.
I kind of feel like Sally Kirkland might occupy one of those positions too if we were to do this in the 80s. Man, if she isn't still milking that one Oscar nomination a million years ago for all its worth...
Is that Renee Zellweger's actual attempt at a red-carpet smile, or was she caught mid-chew on some particularly tough beef jerky? It's an unfortunate shot, either way.
Oh no Guy Lodge...Thats Renee's best impression of Angelina's Jolie's pout!
LOL April Fools To You Too!
"Two Much" must've been hell for Fernando Trueba. Rumor had it at the time that it was a hell of a production and you can see that ever since, he's been more devoted to non-fiction :), his only hit (critical and at the BO) being "La niña de tus ojos" with a stellar Penélope Cruz.
But it's Banderas the one who hasn't recovered yet, let's hope some Woody helps.
Am I missing something here? When did all this Renee hate happen? The Cold Mountain win? I still love her, hopefully My One and Only will be a return to her work in the early '00s!
The Zellweger's fall from grace dates from about the time she started making chipmunk face all|the|time and developed that sporadic bulimia.
cold mountain, the oscar and the botox (or whatever she sticks in her face) is what has caused the dislike/hate for Renee.
Love the April Fools prank Nathaniel, was wondering how you were going to pull it off today.
Sam - Crazy in Alabama is one of those bad movies I found myself liking; Melanie Griffith is so unhinged. I used to entertain my older sisters by doing her lines, "I'm fine Peejoe, I'm free. For the first time in mah entire life I'm free"...ah, i was a strange kid. :)
is it me or does swank actually not look all that bad in that photo?
*runs from group of angry film experience followers who have stakes and pitchforks*
gotta work on your jokes
Actually "Original Sin" isn't embarassing or particularly bad. It isn't good either, but it isn't a terrible film. And Jolie isn't bad either in it.
Am I the only one that loved Original Sin? Maybe it's because Antonio and Angelina are big crushes of mine.
I should probably watch Original Sin again since I love both Angelina & Antonio
Original Sin (Unrated) was SEXY!
No don't watch that trash! Watch the original version of "Original Sin", starring much more luscious Cathernie Deneuve, and way more interesting Jean Paul Belmondo. Truffaut's The Mermaid of Mississipi
