John O'Neil -- agreed. But I think Waltz might slip in to Supporting Actor anyway. He's terrific and playing the type of role the AMPAS voters like in supporting actor (evil)... we'll see.
Another plume in the cap of that beloved species, the Anonymous commenter, and another nail in the coffin of manners. Nathaniel: not that you've even asked us, but I think it's exciting to see you playing around with the template of the site, and I think it looks nifty.
As for Basters, I'm still dubious (or is that doubious"?), but I'll take heart in Nathaniel and Katey responding so positively.
I of course meant Basterds; leave it to me to misspell a deliberate misspelling in the wrong way. Although Basters, a Tarantino action-burlesque about chatty, hyped-up, gun-toting outlaws dressing and marinating some f***ing turkeys for g*ddamn Thanksgiving, would be one holiday picture I'd be sure to see.
Yikes, it’s such a horrible clunker of a movie!! 8O
Not one good review for this thing at all, except troll spammers marketing it, and do you blame the reviewers? Anti-American, racist, dumb, gore-infested, an incapable lie of society that never happened and never could. What causes anyone to make such biologically, socially and culturally impossible, inept and fictitious crap? LSD? KGB? It must be. What a mess and what a money loser. I'm glad I didn't invest in this nonsense. It has lost so much money, it's ridiculous!! 8O
It’s too bad for him this dreadful movie will end so many careers including his own, both in America as well as in his native eurasian homeland.
Fortunately, movies like this don’t even make it to DVD, so maybe we’ll all be spared the embarrassment.
It's good to hear that Waltz is great. What about Kruger? I love the sound of her character, but have hardly heard much of her performance being praised like Waltz's. Your Thoughts? And I was also wondering about tfe.net and why it was down. Fingers crossed you're updating the predictions!!! Haha, on another note. LOVE the Sigourney Weaver banner (minus the TFE font. (Sorry). But other than that - who doesn't like to see the demon Sigourney Weaver? And just wondering, when you update your predictions, are you going to include The Tree of Life, seeing as it is probably an 09 film (but it's Malick, you never know)
Personally I love me some Sigourney, so I think the banner is just fine, thank you. Sorry to hear about the financial troubles, Nat! (I took the trouble a while back of printing your unfinished Moulin Rouge tribute for posterity's sake, so I'll always have that.)
Nick, I'm not a Tarantino fan (and I won't be seeing this one) but that Basters film? That I would see - methinks it would fill a huge gap in the man's repetoire. ;)

YES! Good enough for me, only four more sleeps...
AHHHHHHH!!!!
7 Word Prediction:
AMPAS will most likely hate this movie.

SO glad you liked this! I guess now we really need to do a video review, huh?
I'll be rooting hard for Waltz with AMPAS, and I don't think I'm alone. He's probably the one thing everyone can agree on about this movie.
:D Is that a new header? Personally, methinks it looks crap

I Really want to watch this!
PS. I just wonder why thefilmexperience.net doesn't work? Is it something that just is on my computer or everywhere else? DS.
JL thefilmexperience.net is indeed down. i'll post about this shortly

Thanks,

the banner is a temporary stop gap measure (i host the permanent photos on the site and the site is down so I had to make do)

The banner is PERFECT. It put a big smile on my face when I entered the blog.
Great, Janice! Let's write up a treatment, send it to QT, and get semi-famous! You and me in the Kodak Theater.
Nick, sounds good! I know they treat writers like crap in Hollywood, but at this point I wouldn't mind so long as they paid me.
Can't wait for Friday! I'm looking forward to seeing if Christoph Waltz is nod-worthy or not.
He is. You'll see for yourself soon enough.
