OH my god yes. My life would be immeasurebly more dull if it weren't for the awesomeness of patrica clarkson.
Well, that depends on what you mean by "for her." Do you mean a lead? Woody's best characters have always been supporting players (Dianne Wiest, Judy Davis, Elaine Stritch, Penelope Cruz, Maureen Stapleton, Mira Sorvino, Anjelica Huston), aside from a few Diane Keaton performances (mainly, "Annie Hall" and "Manhattan") and Mia in "The Purple Rose of Cairo." I would be just fine if she simply became his next Wiest.
Yeah, right. She's too old for him.
She's not his type. She's way too normal to be suitable dramatic material.

I think Allen should just start working harder on his movies. Being prolific means nothing. Being a perfectionist is more important.

He's been stuck with the bimbos for too long. If he wrote for her, he will go back to the smart, quirky woman of his roots. And I hope he does.
That would be great, actually.
People should watch out for her in Cairo Time, which premieres at TIFF this year. It's not by Woody Allen, but apparently it was written with her in mind!
