First and Last: the first image after the opening credits and the last shot before the final credit scroll.
Can you guess the movie?
Highlight for the answer if you're stumped: It's Ang Lee's LUST, CAUTION (2007). Aren't those images beautiful? The cinematography is by the great Rodrigo Prieto.

Straw Dogs? Lol, I don't know.
-Rex
Probably wrong, but something about the dog makes me think that it's "I am Legend"....
Cat's in the cradle and the dog's on the bed?
I suck at these so I'm making fun of them. :p
"Lust, Caution."
I'm so sure for once.
Lust, Caution
is that keanu reeves after cate blanchett in your banner?
Anonymous, no, it's wet keanu reeves.
I hadn't noticed this banner. Is the first guy Roy Orbison? I only know Cate and Keanu. I must be getting old...
I have no idea about the movie but "Lust, caution" seems the winner bet.
I think the first guy is Peter Fonda in Easy Rider...
No idea what this film is though :)
Lust, Caution.
100% positive.
I love this feature. I love it even when I don't know it. I love it even when I don't know it despite having seen the movie.
The banner is Peter Fonda, Cate Blanchett, Keanu Reeves, not sure, Carla Gugioni [sp].
^ The one you're not sure about is Anthony Mackie in The Hurt Locker, and I would have sworn the last one was Emily Blunt.
I haven't seen Lust, Caution.
i'm with "lust,caution"
My instinct says The Intruder by Claire Denis
for some reasons STRAW DOGS popped into my head too but i'm going to go with sam fuller's WHITE DOG. that dog's ugly mug screams racism... ;)
it is indeed LUST, CAUTION. Beautiful frames, right?
the banner is currently peter fonda, cate blanchett, keanu reeves, anthony mackie and emily blunt. But it'll change soon as it always does
Lust, Caution. The empty bed is so iconic that gives the game away.
But I would never have guessed based on the dog.
I've never seen the film, but this is a really cool idea for an article. Keep it up.
Funny, Peter Fonda looks like Colin Firth in a 1960's period flick!
That shot of the empty bed at the end of the film is just so powerful.
Tang Wei is #1 on my Best Actress ballot for 2007 (which is for me, hands down, the best Best Actress year of the decade and one of the best EVER - my #1 through #12 could all win my personal award in another year and #13-#20 are all worthy nominees). Such a complex and breathtaking performance, and from a debuting actress, too... She managed to make the most insane shifts in character seem perfectly natural. Simply stunning - she was robbed of the Oscar!
My ballot:
1. Tang Wei - Lust, Caution
2. Jeon Do-yeon - Secret Sunshine
3. Brenda Blethyn - Clubland
4. Molly Shannon - Year of the Dog
5. Norma Aleandro - Live-in Maid
(6) Ashley Judd - Bug
(7) Hannah Herzsprung - Four Minutes
(8) Anamaria Marinca - 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days
(9) Laura Linney - The Savages
(10) Kaho - A Gentle Breeze in the Village
