The story behind this movie and the Washington Post review is fascinating.
It was supposed to be a "new-age" Star Wars...and ends up being fascist propaganda.
NPH...fortunately, you're back in our lives.
Ends up being fascist propaganda? Hardly. Actually exactly the opposite. The original military sci-fi novel certainly is fascist, but Paul Verhoeven proved once again why he's such a brilliant director. Who else would have the balls to satirize the very classic he's adapting.
The Federal Network spots are hilarious stab at the book.

Starship Troopers, one of my favorite comedies!
