Streep at 61...hah.
Music of the Heart, for the record, is one of Streep's worst nominations.
I agree with Andrew. Music of the Heart was terrible, and Streep's talent was wasted in it.
Way to celebrate the day guys ;)
I will never get bored of that video!
I hold the strong belief that there is no such thing as "Bad Meryl" just "Lesser Meryl." Music of the Heart is admittedly lesser work, but it's still okay, just not on par with where we're used to from her.
What about "Still of the Night?" I assume that would fit under Chamaeleonidae Erotica. I really like her hair in that movie. MinDC
I don't know if you've seen this clip but it's Meryl Streep's speech in front of the Barnard College Graduating class of 2010. It's wonderful! I love her in it :)

I listened to the Streep Barnard College commencement address and is was brillant. It is amazing how grounded Streep remains and how fame has not gone to her head one iota. I still wait for her 3rd Oscar but get the feeling it will be for a small supporting role (i.e. Ingrid Bergman in Orient Express) which basically the academy gives for a lifetime of great movie roles...
HAPPY B-DAY TO THE GREATTEST ACTRESS OF OUR TIME, WISH HER 61 MORE!

She’ll receive it in the lead category.
<3rtfull -- i think it'll be in lead, too. Her only hope to tie Katharine's 4th is if she wins a 3rd just because people feel she's due and then very shortly thereafter she nails an incredible supporting role that everyone agrees cannot be ignored (like a sophie's choice level role)
it's so silly to predict the future like that but that's what i see in my Meryluscent ball.
