Us mere mortals in Australia (which is basically an unofficial part of the US anyway, or so it feels) have to stay up until 11:30pm to see the Oscar nominations being announced. Thank the gods that tomorrow is a holiday (Australia Day), otherwise the ladies would mourn my lack of beauty sleep.
that holiday idea begs the question - just what is your day job, nate?
Those of us on the west coast have to get up at 5:30 in the morning, and we're in the same time zone as the announcers. Well, I normally get up at 6 anyway.
