Stranger in a Strange Land
And here's yet more Princess Leias.
They were everywhere. I almost asked all of them what they thought of their mother Natalie Portman... ("but will they think I'm a weirdo?" he, the uncostumed, hesitated...always second guessing himself. The moment slipped away)

Their mother Natalie Portman. Make a slip-up like that out loud and you're in trouble. Those Comic-Con geeks can't ball their fists but they're quite adept at slapping silly.
oh geez good point.
no wonder i felt out of place.
Regarding the Leia doll - I'm not sure how old I was exactly when I realized that there are certain things that a woman's (ok my) breasts can't do naturally - without wires, lifts, silicone and all sorts of other engineering assists.
Sticking straight outward is one of them.
These photos clue me in on the nature of comics and reminds me why (and I don't think i'm alone in this) had much interest in them growing up. It's all so - hormonal pre-pubescent male fantasy.

Nat, did you know Defamer mentions and links to this post, in their discussion of the dire state of movie (super)heroines?
