Nat, I've seen Bette live in various stages of her career (not including this Vegas stint) and she has never disappointed. So I'd throw caution to the wind if I were you. I mean, c'mon...it's BETTE. (After you see her, you'll know exactly why I said she should host the Oscars.)

Kagemusha is a very good film, but I think it falls a little short of his best films.(Ran, Throne of Blood, Rashomon, Ikiru). You should WATCH IT anyways!
I've loved Bette for the majority of my life (saw "Big Business" when I was 6 and have been hooked ever since!)and just saw her live for the first time this past September.....three words - YOU.MUST.GO
There is just no describing the force of nature that she is live...and the voice is still amazing and amazingly strong. Forget the money and RUN to Vegas.

I haven't said much lately, but your love of the scene in Twin Peaks has pulled me from obscurity to once again tell you that we should be best friends. That scene was on my myspace page back when I kept up with it. I cry every time I see it. The best single episode of any show on television, EVER.
