Nicki Kidman: Camera Hog

It's that annoying guest at the party that barges into every photo op. You'll have to photoshop them out later for scrapbooking purposes

Just kidding Nic'. Love you. I'm sure you're going to get some worst dressed citations but just know that we here at the Film Experience understand the symbolism of your dress. You're a gift to the cinema wrapped up tight and topped off with a giant red bow. Perfectly understandable! Didn't everyone get that?

Hehe, this series of photos reminds me of wedding pics where the Bridezilla must have her mug in every shot (in fact, my friend Heather--in red in fact--did a really funny parody of this at her own wedding)....

But you know, I actually think the dress comes off better in the pics. I do wish she'd gotten rid of the bow though...but you're theory on it is great.

Anyway Nat, just want to thank you for your fantastic awards and film coverage. I'm so glad we finally got a chance to meet this year and I look forward to the many great film discussions to come.

she looked ok. I hate to say it but Reese, once again looked amazing. I hated the show in general, Ellen was great but, the producer shouldnt be asked back next year. I hated those dancers doing the Best Picture nominee things, and they cut the acting clips way too short, esp for the supporting categories. and they need better presenters too. why does Michelle Pfeiffer never present? I mean come on, Jerry Seinfeld? Jessica Biel?? and that Chris guy doing the backstage thing was bad, really bad. Oy.

oh, and what in holy hell was Kirsten Dunst wearing? she looked like a little school boy in an ugly plastic half polo shirt/half dress thing. yikes

I thought Nicole Kidman's dress looked fine except for the bow it was awful.

Why is Jennifer Lopez on every year? I have seen but one of her "films" - the one w/ Jane Fonda that's always on on-demand. She seems to be on every single year - it's almost comical. Why??!! Was she channeling Jackie O this year w/ that hair? I have never heard of Jessica Biel...some sort of teen star I suppose. The whole show could have easily been cut by an hour and a half. Cut: boring categories - short subjects, sound editing....just announce who the winners were. The songs actually weren't too bad this year, except the James Taylor song. Cut: Celine Dion....cut the Eastwood's pal's boring speech. Cut: the creepy siloutte people....I have sinking a feeling Debbie Allen had a hand in that. Looks like Nicole had some face work done....her face didn't move....plus, she could use a burger or two. Did Meryl Streep get her jewels at CVS or Target? She could have sprung for a hairdresser, don't you agree? Finally - Diane Keaton looked great...nothing too goofy...no hat, no gloves - if only she'd lose the shaded granny glasses! Robert Downey Jr. had a great line about himself.

Her dress was nice and she did make it to the best dressed lists in both Yahoo and MSN.

The E! and NBC folks seemed to love her dress.

I think Kidman looks more and more like a rabbit every day. A cute, fuzzy rabbit.

Anonymous said...

yeah a rabbit with too much botox.

yes Nicole is definitely having too strong a fascination with botox. too bad really because she isn't even 40 yet. calm down right? she looks great would still look great without the help

It's pretty much my belief that bows should never be worn at an awards show. Ever. They're always ridiculous. Renee Zellweger! CHARLIZE THERON! Nicole's wasn't as bad, and thankfully the rest of her dress was lovely, but... yeah. Bows = big no no for me.

I love Nicole's dress. Maybe minus some points for the bow, but the look is so dramatic. Only someone with her razor sharp yet porcelain features could pull that off.

The only thing wrong with Charlize Theron last year was that the middle of the dress was a disaster and it did not fit her well, Nicole's on the other hand fit her like a glove...

Nicole doesn't need botox... you people need to stop this nonesense. And losers read what experts are saying about her dress.Niki Rules... luv you baby.

Anonymous said...

umm.. no one said she needed botox, it was quite the opposite actually. learn how to read

Anonymous said...

I know how to read. I also know that I'll kick your asses if you say nad things about Nic.

it's so confusing when anonymous people argue with each other. it's like is Sybil in the house?

and no Kidman surely does NOT need botox. But it's pretty obvious that she thinks she does. *sigh*

I read that Kidman's dress came with a cup holder for her star schizzle coffee on the shoulder.
