Also: because some angry douche threw a car at her because they hate Marie Antoinette. Not a good way to greet the dawn if ya ask me...

Oooh, she's great.

Oscar worthy for sure in The Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette. I was actually convinced she deserved the statue for MA... but then I saw Laura Dern in Inland Empire, and that was that.

She's also aces in Interview with the Vampire, Bring It On, and Spider-Man 2 (but I love the subdues stylization of that whole cast)

She deserved an Oscar for Interview with the Vampire. She's also awesome in Marie Antoinette and Drop Dead Gorgeous

Ah, poor Kiki. I'll never really understand the hatred that gets sent her way.

It's all about crazy/beautiful for me. She's never been better than in that.

I think her best work has to be "Small Soldiers." Her alliance with the innocent Gorgons to defeat the tyrannous Commando Elite is heart-wrenching. Superb film.

"Ah, poor Kiki. I'll never really understand the hatred that gets sent her way."

I've commented on that elsewhere, dl, but it reminds me not a little of the hatred that gets tossed Kidman's way. Both mix it up - small indie flicks with big budget films (Kiki seems to have better luck - or more discernment - in picking her big flicks than does Kidman.) With Kiki it's on a smaller scale because she's not as big a name. But it makes no more sense to me than the Kidman hatred. (At least with Kidman I can always blame Scientology moles.)

And thanks all for naming off some of her films - there is a lot of her filmography I have yet to see, lots of titles to add to my viewing list.

I love her...and Lohan.

I have a knack for loving women that everyone else hates.

See my unbridled hate for Reese Witherspoon.

That's what that twit deserves for her "acting".

You're right.. I thought she had great potential in her early movies, but of late ... I don't know!!!!

I think she nails her characters. Unfortunately some people don't understand that when she portrays "snobish" (as the character is calling for) she is still ACTTING. There's no reason to hate her for portraying it realistically. She should be GETTING points for that , not being attacked for it.
I think she is great!
