I remember so very little about the movie, it's been a very long time since I've seen it, but one of my best friends and I still to this day will shout "I WILL FIND YOU!" at each other at completely random moments. Good times.
my god, what a great film. the first R-Rated movie I was allowed to watch, incidentally. (I was six when this baby came out.)
Still love that shot of the youngest Munro daughter looking into the camera after her lover plunged to his death. one of the most haunting shots of the last twenty years.
Nat, you're definitely not the only person who misses Madeline Stowe. In fact, the first thing I thought when I saw this image was "where the hell is she?!" I swear the last movie of hers I saw was the John Travolta stinker (wait, is there any other kind?), 'The General's Daughter,' and that was like 7 years ago! I think we all agree she deserves a swan song.
Hell no, you are not the only one who misses Madeline Stowe. In fact, the first thing I thought when I saw that 'Last of the Mohicans' image was "where the fuck has she been?!" It seems like the last movie she appeared in was the John Travolta stinker (is there any other kind?) 'The General Daughter,' which was like 7 years ago! I think we can all agree that she definitely deserves a better swan song than that one.
Madeline Stowe fan here. I would have to say 1992 (Mohicians) - 1995 (Twelve Monkies) ... although she was sexy in Stakeout. She was best in Short Cuts. She's definitely someone who could make a come-back in the right role at some point.

I was a bit disappointed by this movie, considering it was Michael Mann AND Daniel Day-Lewis.
It sure did look purdy though.

I saw it just recently, so that probably helps.
The end was good though!
i think that i'm prolly the only person who misses Madelein Stowe. I thought she had "it" but nobody else seemed to agree so maybe it was just me.
maybe i am a nutjob.

i wish you a big comeback.
agree about stowe. i thought she was the bst in show in Short Cuts
I loved Stowe in Short Cuts and Twelve Monkeys. What the hell happened to her?
anonymous. YEAH. I would've nominated her for short cuts too. definitely best-in-show. That laugh after her husband lies to her. Classic.

I also loved her in Blink which 4 other people in the world went to see. The five of us thought she was good.
