Day of Rest

"It's showtime" It's not showtime yet. Roy Gideon (pictured here from All That Jazz) needs a hot shower, several pills, eye drops and classical musical to get his day rolling. I just need hot showers, coffee and ...well... more hours in each day.

Coming up this week: the long promised article on All That Jazz, a future biopic I'm actually excited about (what?), belated short reviews and lots of k-i-s-s-i-n-g. No really. Stay tuned.

Yay! All That Jazz!

Also, obviously the biopic is I'm Not There. If it's not I'll be confused. Although the Joy Division biopic Control was quite good.

I thought it might be that Countess movie that Julie Delpy is prepping, which I'm suddenly reading about everywhere. Julie + baths of blood = I'm betting Nat is interested.

But obviously I'm Not There makes even more sense.

Might all this focus on music (All that Jazz - which shoulda won Best Pic that year - I'm not There, etc) possibly inspire the next section of the Moulin Rouge tribute essay? (Hey, a girl can dream, can't she?)

Julie Delpy + Countess of Bathory? I'm still trying to wrap my brain around that combination.
