Foreign Deadlines
Yesterday, October 3rd, marked the day by which the 90+ countries that are invited to participate in the Foreign Language Oscar race were required to send in their submissions for consideration. Over at my Foreign Language pages you can read up on over 45 submissions. But don't put anything in ink yet. Usually over the course of the next month we will hear about disqualifications (Greece & Italy look 'most-likely-to' meet that fate this year) last minute film-swapping (apparently China's martial arts epic The Promisemight not be submitted after all...) and other surprises. Stay tuned.

On the other hand, other sites affirm that Perhaps Love is Hong Kong's submission. You are absolutely correct, Mr. Rogers.
Since I adore your website and want to see everything splendid, please, change your entry from Phillipines to Vietnam to Palestine to Vietnam.

According to a Brazilian website, Venezuela has chosen "1888", directed by Alfrendo Anzola.
