I am in complete agreement about Wright, his performance in Angels In America is what I remember the most about a film/series that had many great performances in it, and he was the only interesting thing in Broken Flowers.
I thought the UN got together and passed an international agreement, suggesting that we count Angels as a movie now?
It got theatrically screened for its premiere, and here and there as part of various festivals I believe.
Feels like a movie, looks like a movie... see where I'm going with this?

I nominated Angels in America in tonnes of categories at my own personal awards. I'm tempted to do that for all HBO movies, quite frankly (Lakawanna Blues, for example, yielded a brilliant, oscar level performance from S. Epatha Merkerson).
I would have given the 2000 Best Supporting Actor Oscar to Jeffrey Wright in Shaft. This man can both over-act and under-act with the best of them. He's a miracle.
Oh, and I love "*cough* jodie foster *cough*" ;)
I love Day-Lewis, but I agree, couldn't he pull a Ralph Fiennes and just jump full swing back into acting (speaking of Ralph Fiennes, I wonder when he'll be invading this list...)?
It hurts me to see Day-Lewis ranking so low, but it's understandable. Damn him for depriving us fans of his unique presence and talent.
I have Angels In America sitting on my DVD shelf unwatched. I want to watch it all in one sitting - but that's a big investment of time.
