New York Magazine have you heard the murmurs about Walter Kirn, the Up in the Air novelist? He ain't happy about the lack of an Oscar invite.
Geekologie disturbing Spider-Man fetish video. I wonder if Tobey Maguire ever spent time in his trailer doing this.
I Watch Stuff Owen Wilson to star for Woody Allen next. I could see that pairing working, couldn't you? The film is called... wait, you guessed it, Untitled Woody Allen Project.
Cinema Blend Kristin Scott Thomas to seduce Ethan Hawke in Paris. Can't wait! Parisians are totally into Ethan Hawke, haven't you heard?

Vulture Christoph Waltz on The Green Hornet and working with Quentin Tarantino. I love this bit
I said to Quentin once, “Why is it that I’ve never seen a bad performance in one of your movies?” Even from actors — well, you know my belief is there’s no such thing as great actor, good actor, bad actor. And Quentin’s movies are the perfect proof for that. Because when someone is right, he or she is right. And only then can she be good. And with Quentin, I don’t know the way he casts, the way he looks at people, but also, you know, the way he writes his parts, every single part is a great part. There are no lousy parts in Quentin’s movies. That's so so true. Even the bit players have fun/interesting parts to work with.

Christoph Waltz has obviously never watched Basterds back and seen the Mike Myers 'performance' then...
But yes apart from that I do agree with him. All of Quentin's movies are either well cast or he has the ability to get what he wants out of people who may not have been overly impressive or note-worthy in other films.
What about Quentin Tarantino in Quentin Tarantino movies?
Does anyone know where they'll be streaming the BAFTAS live online?
jaded armchair... i think that's the exception to the rule. because directing yourself is a whole 'nother thang. many people can't do it.
Nathaniel, when are you seeing Alice in Wonderland?
I saw A Single Man yesterday and I thought it was kind of soulless. Wouldn't it be more interesting if the focus was on Moore's character's life?
My god, people need to lay off Mike Meyers. He was completely fine. I doubt anyone would have noticed him it he weren't Mike Meyers.
Eli Roth's post-headbashing rant however.....dubious.
Yeah, if anything is the notable exception to the "Quentin Taratino movies are perfectly cast" belief, it's that asshat Eli Roth.
Other than that, most of his casting decisions have been perfect. It seems insane today to think Waltz will be the first actor to win an award for a performance in a Tarantino film. INSANE.
All of the roles in Death Proof were badly written. Eli Roth's and Brad Pitt's roles in IB were badly played.
Robert, I did a little research and if I'm correct, it's not that insane. No one has ever won an Oscar for a Robert Altman movie!
Prince William presenting Vanessa Redgrave with the Fellowship award at the BAFTAs. Can it get better than that? Maybe, but just putting it out there.
@robert hamer -- that IS insane.
But... @Y Kant -- good point.
No one has ever won an Oscar for a Robert Altman movie!
Are we counting Keith Carradine?
Quentin Tarantino has a pretty high batting average with his cast, generally. But I think there are moments when his actors aren't quite on the same wavelength as the script. Harvey Keitel's sing-songy "You're gonna be OK" to a bloodied Tim Roth early in Reservoir Dogs comes to mind.
Neel Mehta, I meant no actor has ever won.
