I saw that when I was like twelve.

I thought he really was a retard.

Really good acting. :P

God, I love that movie.

We studied it at school many years ago. It was so hard not to just burst out into tears while watching it, which woulda been embarassing if I did.

I just love those 2 performances. Leo's nearly lost my love many times over the years, but the slightest reminder of his Arnie brings all the love right on back...

When Lasse Hallstrom still made great films...

Ah... yes.

Speaking of Hallström - have you seen My Life as a Dog, Nathaniel? One of the best non-Bergman Swedish films there is.

have never seen it. came to Hallstrom late and was repeatedly punished for it. so i never backtracked.

My Life as a Dog is my favorite film of all time. Nathaniel, you need to give it a chance!

That's like me with Wolfgang Petersen! I'm sorta glad I haven't seen Das Boot, because if I had I would probably be way more annoyed that he's making such crappy movies these days.

When Leo was a good actor and Hallstrom a wonderful director...
