We Are All Nicole Kidman

If Nicole Kidman can find the time to be a wildly successful movie star, a new bride, David Thomson's muse, a fine actor, and a mother than certainly you can find the time to take a quiz I prepared especially for this weekend of Nicole goodness (Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus hits theaters today!)

Anyway: The Quiz! You know how it is: You're washing dishes. You're listening to your iPod. You're chatting with friends. But your mind can't help but drift towards that eternal question ...

"Which Nicole Kidman Character Am I, Anyway?"

No more endless pondering. Now, you can know for sure! Tell us who you turned out to be in the comments, and tell your friends about this quiz. Nobody should go through this life never meeting their inner Kidman.

I'm Ada from Cold Mountain, lol.

Good quiz Nat. It's pretty bad that I could get what movie every question is from, lol. But I'm all for a Nicole Kidman weekend.

And one more question, Nat. What did you think of her in Fur? I understand the film is very divisive but I can't wait to see it anyway.

I got Virginia Woolf, which is sorta just makes me more depressed than I apparently am.

Sandy, I'm also Ada from Cold Mountain!

I was expecting to be Satine from Moulin Rouge all the way. I later tinkered with my answers some while still being honest (there were a lot of right answers in the bunch), and got Diane Arbus, Satine, and finally Virginia Woolf. I'm probably an amalgam of those four.

But Ada first and foremost, apparently.

I'm Anna, which I was initially very excited about... and then I remembered how the movie ended and got a little scared. I might has well have been identified as Virginia Woolf, Anna's certainly headed for major issues.

That was a lot of fun, Nathaniel.

I'm:

"Grace Mulligan" in DOGVILLE

Colour me surprised. I was fully expecting to be Suzanne Stone too!

I got Grace from Dogville too. Funny, I just ran a writer's retreat a couple of weeks ago (the theme was on creative isolation) and Dogville was one of the movies I made my participants watch. This movie still has the most satisfying ending ever.

I got Alice from Eyes Wide Shut, LMAO. That actually sort of makes me think about myself.

Good quiz you made up here Nat.

Diane from "Fur."

Ironic. It's the only film out of the available choices that I haven't seen. Hmmn ...

Great quiz. Thanks!

I'm Diane as well. I haven't seen Fur either so I'm not quite sure how well matched we are. LOL.

Thanks for the entertainment Nat. I'm going to give it another try like adam k. to see who else I might be.

I'm Grace from The Others.

I knew I would be Anna...

Satine! I didn't see that coming... Fun! ;o)

I'm Suzanne Stone in TO DIE FOR
??????

I'm Grace from Dogville! That means you don't mess around with me, huh!! :))

Jason Adams said...

I really wanted to be Suzanne Stone, but answered honestly and got, not very suprisingly, Anna from Birth.

Satine!
My favorite Kidman character and performance. Still the result I expected the least :)

I got Diane Arbus

Anonymous said...

Satine from Moulin Rouge!. Which is good. Loved her performance and the movie.

Anonymous said...

She's not a very good actress everytime I try giving her another chance she fails as an actress. Her best movie role ever was "To Die For".

Anonymous said...

Her performance in "Moulin Rouge" was average her singing was mild.

Anonymous said...

She's pretty.

I'm Faunia from The Human Stain.

No, I mean I'm really Faunia from The Human Stain!

Anonymous said...

Anna, from Birth.

Nick M. said...

Virginia Woolf. This makes a bit of sense, but I'm not nearly as morose as Virginia.

Satine!!!!!!!!!!1

Virginia Woolf. I didn't realize I was so depressed. Maybe it's all this My Chemical Romance the radio keeps playing.

I'm apprarently Grace from 'The Others.' Egads. "One tightly wound bitch." Eek! (Like the last part though.)

I'm ashamed with my result.

NATHANIEL R said...

so you're keepiing it a secret, Emma?

Virgian Woolf. Obviously. I always buy the flowers myself.

Anonymous said...

Um, Virginia, that is. I'm more accustomed to quill pens.

Cinesnatch said...

to the bf:
uh-oh. I hope you don't have to buy the flowers on your own b-day!

NicksFlickPicks said...

I'm Diane Arbus. Bring on the hirsute muses and the creepy twins.

Middento said...

I originally got Suzanne Stone, but then forgot to get the code for the result. The second time I tried it, I got Grace from Dogville. The truth lies in between, methinks. (Really, I was hoping for Nicola from Flirting...)

I'm Alice from Eyes Wide Shut! HA! And I adore the little blurb about "blinding sex appeal..."

Great quiz, Nat!

Anonymous said...

I'm Satine, no really I am REALLY like Satine, minus the consumption.

Anonymous said...

Oh Vince, the stories I could tell. Let's just say Nat's not always so good with (non-cinematic) dates. But he's just so damn adorable...

Javier Aldabalde said...

lol, we heart the boyfriend.

Cinesnatch said...

adorable goes a long way.

:)

I'm Suzanne as well.

It could be worse, I could be Johanna from "The Stepford Wives"...

Anonymous said...

Virginia Woolf, so depressed

Anonymous said...

Oh how I wanted to be like Shannon from "Far and Away," but I had to be Anna from "Birth."
Disappointed!

Anonymous said...

I did not want to be Anna in "Birth." But that's who I was. Haha.

Lucas Dantas said...

I got Suzanne! I wanted to be Satine, of course... but I guess I'm more bitchy than a bohemian romantic belle!

NATHANIEL R said...

i'm pleasantly surprised that the results are so varied. Satine is leading but mostly it's a pretty wide berth of results with each character snagging 10% or so of quiz-takers.

adam k. said...

I did the test again and this time I got Anna. So I am now 5 versions of Nicole Kidman.

The woman really does know how to choose roles. Most of the time.

Anonymous said...

I'm Diane...Hopefully minus the tragic young suicide. Don't really think of myself as suicidal, tho, thank goodness!

Anonymous said...

Hah! Apparently I'm Satine... I tried altering a few key answers, and I'm still Satine.
Enh - could do worse. And I do have her hair colour.

Nathaniel, what a fun quiz! You're so clever. Well, I'm Diane Arbus, apparenly. Not really surprising, but not really boy-magnet personality type, either, unfortunately. That's why I go to therapy. Twice a week.
