It's June 21st, the official first day of summer. For those lucky bastards who recently lounged beachside in Mexico --oh wait that's me!-- summer began already. But welcome to the rest of you.
Which film screams "SUMMERTIME!" to you? Share with all of us by posting a comment.

Dirty Dancing makes me think of summertime.
Grease. Altogether: "Those su-u-mmer... NIIIIIY-HIIIIIIGGGGGGGHTS!"
Rob
i'm sure I'll think of more but I sometimes associate
... Y Tu Mama Tambien with the summertime. All that Heaven's Mouth stuff.
And definitely Bring It On It doesn't take place in the summer but it always makes me think of the summer.
It's so funny what movies pop into your head, but the first movie I thought of was "Summer School" with Mark Harmon and Courtney Thorne-Smith. I know. I KNOW.
Summer Magic? With Burl Ives, Hayley Mills and Dorothy McGuire?
I was gonna be obvious and say "Summertime," but then I thought about it and decided that's more of an autumn film (becuase of the age of the charcaters and the whole last chance thing).
My summer films are "Breaking Away" with Dennish Christoper and Paul Dooley and "The Sandlot" with, er, James Earl Jones and Karen Allen.
And Joe R.? My sister and I used to watch "Summer School" all the time when were were youngins. So you're not alone in relishing the guilty pleasures of Mark Harmon and Co. :)
That's a great story. Waiting for more. »
