20:07 (The Life Aquatic with Steve Eleanor Zissou)

screenshots from the 20th minute and 7th second of a movie
I can't guarantee the same results at home (different players/timing) I use a VLC

Steve Zissou: She’s a rich bitch you know. She was raised by maids. Her parents paid for this island and two of my worst movies. People say she’s the brains behind Team Zissou.

Ned Plimpton: People say a lot of things.

Despite my slight initial disappointment (from direct comparison to Anderson's previous works), Zissou keeps giving back in weird, wonderful ways. Gotta love it.

Such an underappreciated, subtly sweet movie. It's a lot more substantial than people give it credit for. I expect its reputation to rise steadily over the next few years.

Yeah, I was a tad disappointed with the film at first, but I enjoyed it. Glad to hear others did, too.

I really liked this film... It's anarchic humour really won me over. My girlfriend fell asleep when we watched it at the movies, but since then we must have seen the full thing 2-3 times on DVD.

I still don't know how to feel about this film.

neither do i beau.

i feel like i should like it since i respond to highly stylized stuff but it's too much even for me (which is saying a lot)

but i love wes anderson's casting and composition and attention to minor details. i just wished i could feel the film breathe a little more. this one felt oppressive to me whereas tenenbaums transcended.

one man's opinion
