OMG, it's Divine. Stinkylulu, you and Ja should be commended for celebrating this underappreciated performer. I love Divine and John Waters. It's a shame Divine died young.
It's a particularly sharp loss now that we've seen Travolta's ham-handed attempt at one of her roles.
Seriously, it's been John Waters Week for me, so thanks for this, Stinky! It was the Hairspray remake that spurred me on to finally watch his old stuff, and I just bought John Waters' book Shock Value and feel like burning through it this weekend. I'm suddenly very obsessed.
